SAIP is a community based program which provides specialized assessment and treatment services to children and youth ages 3 to 18 who have experienced sexual abuse or are suspected to have been sexually abused or assaulted. As well, our Centre can provide parents with information and support for those children under the age of 12 that are presenting sexualized behaviour.
Our SAIP counsellors provide therapeutic individual counselling as well as educational teaching. Counsellors can also provide support, consultation and referrals to non-offending parents, guardians and family members. The Centre is also actively involved in providing community education on sexual abuse intervention and prevention.
The PEACE program provides group and individual counselling and support for children and youth who have been exposed to violence or abuse and who are currently not in a crisis situation. Our PEACE Counsellor provides a fun and safe environment for young people to discuss their trauma and learn to manage their response to their exposure to violence. Our services are free of cost and strictly confidential.
