anti-violence crisis response program

KSACC is excited to announce that we have launched a brand new program. The Anti-Violence Crisis Response program offers 24/7 phone support and hospital accompaniment for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We support survivors ages 13+ of all genders.

Volunteers can provide, among many things:

  • Emotional support
  • Information about sexual and physical assault, medical and forensic procedures, reporting options, legal options, and community supports and services
  • Information on follow-up counselling and justice related services available through KSACC
  • Information and referrals to other community supports and services
  • Information and support to family and other support people

Specially trained volunteers are on-call 24/7

The Centre is always looking for more volunteers who are dedicated and passionate about helping people in this situation. If you want to apply to be a volunteer, please complete the application or contact Abigail for more information at dvsart@ksacc.ca.

KSACC wishes to acknowledge the financial support from the city of Kamloops Social Planning Council and the United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo.
