Cecile is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor, her professional work has always centered on supporting people through trauma with compassion and care. She recognizes the privilege that comes with being able to access therapy, and she values that KSACC offers nonprofit, accessible services to members of our community who often face the greatest barriers to support.
As an intersectional feminist, Cecile is deeply committed to advocacy and to reimagining the systems that shape our lives so that safety, dignity, and healing are possible for everyone. Being part of the KSACC Board gives her a community that has the same values and beliefs, which makes a huge difference in being able to do this work sustainably. Cecile feels honoured to contribute to this mission alongside people so dedicated to creating a more just and compassionate world.

Vice-President
Amanda is a dedicated HR professional, holding a BBA and a Master’s in Conflict Management from Royal Roads University. Over her career, Amanda has focused on building respectful, inclusive workplaces and supporting people through challenging times. As board vice-president and crisis line volunteer at KSACC, she’s committed to helping survivors and advancing the rights of marginalized groups. Amanda’s drive comes from a belief in equity, kindness, and the importance of standing up for those impacted by gendered violence.

Colleen (she/her)
Board Member
Colleen is a Principal and educator with over 25 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Education and a Master’s in Learning Innovation. She is dedicated to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments and strengthening community connections. As a Board Member with the Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre, Colleen is committed to contributing to an organization that uplifts women, supports survivors, and advances safety and justice in the community.
Heather (she/her)
Board Member
Heather obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Thompson Rivers University in 2011 and worked as a social worker for 4 years. Heather gained experience working with marginalized populations through her work, and advocated for the rights of women in the sex trade at ASK Wellness’ SHOP program and for the rights of children experiencing abuse at the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Heather obtained her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2018 and has worked as a family lawyer ever since. Heather is passionate about legal advocacy for victims of family violence who are going through separation. Heather is committed to the work of KSACC as she recognizes the importance of a multifaceted support system for victims of sexual abuse.
